Lisa Hays Biography


Lisa brings nearly 25 years experience in marketing strategy, competitive intelligence, and marketing research to her company, Fresh Perspective.  After holding a number of positions at Stuart Hall Company, Hallmark Cards, and Payless ShoeSource, Lisa founded Fresh Perspective in April of 1998.  Fresh Perspective celebrated 10 years of helping clients make better business decisions by providing insight into and facilitating a greater understanding of a business’ customers, markets and competitors.  The extreme variety of serving clients across a number of industries and addressing a wide variety of topics is a challenge that Lisa thoroughly enjoys.

Lisa is a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), and the Kansas City Chamber Environment Committee. Lisa has been featured in and has authored articles for the Association for Corporate Growth, the Business Marketers Association, the Kansas City Business Journal and the Kansas City Star.  She has been featured as a speaker for a number of local groups.

Lisa believes that the best investment on Earth, is the Earth.  Under her leadership Fresh Perspective strives to reduce consumption and make choices that take impact on the earth into account.  We have made changes internally at Fresh Perspective, and have created various resources for individuals as well as companies as they seek to become more sustainable.

In addition to Fresh Perspective’s emphasis on “Green”, environmental, sustainable (and the myriad of other terms), Fresh Perspective provides significant breadth and depth of expertise on a number of topics in this arena and assists clients in making decisions related to improving the environment.  As quoted many times, “good planets are hard to find.”

Lisa holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
